Kathmandu, June 22
Jhalak Bahadur Thapa (21) of Laping, Dolakha, attacked Sushma Thami (21) of Laping with a knife at Old Buspark, Bagbazaar, at around 8 am on Wednesday, police said.
Thami has suffered serious injuries on her back and cannot speak. She is under treatment at Model Hospital based in Bagbazaar.
Police have detained Thapa and taken his statement. Thapa, according to police, claims he is Thami’s husband. During interrogation, Thapa told police he had married Thami two years ago.
He said they had been living separately for some months due to domestic discord.
