Today is the last day for political parties to register for the House of Representatives election to be held on March 5.
Party registration for the election purpose had opened on November 17. Until Tuesday, 80 parties had already completed their registration.
Parties that register by today will be eligible to participate in the election on March 5.
According to the election program for the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) system, the date for filing nomination papers is January 20.
On the same day, the list of candidates will be published. The date for filing complaints against the registered candidates is January 21.
On January 22, the submitted nomination papers and complaints will be examined and a decision will be made. The updated list of candidates will then be published.
On January 23, candidates will be able to withdraw their candidacies. After that, the final list of candidates will be published, and election symbols will be allocated to the candidates.
