Election Nepal app launched to disseminate poll information

Kathmandu, April 28

The Election Commission has launched a mobile app, Election Nepal, to disseminate information about various aspects of local level elections being held in May and June.

From the app, users can know how to cast their votes. Likewise, it also has a feature to search voters’ list and voting centres.

All voter education materials prepared for the elections have been kept on the app.

The Commission says details of candidates will also be uploaded once the candidacy nomination is over.

After the completion of vote counting, the Commission will also publish the poll results on the app.

Meanwhile, the Commission also brought is call centre into operation.

As many as six persons can make a call to the toll-free number–16600144222–at a moment.

Members of the public have been requested to make the call and file complaints about election activities or ask questions about the election process.

The Commission has claimed all the calls will be immediately responded.
