Kathmandu, September 11
The election for the positions of chairpersons for the Legislation Management Committee and the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee under the National Assembly (NA) is scheduled for September 16.
At Tuesday’s NA meeting, Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal announced that the elections and the date were set according to Rule 150 of the National Assembly Rules, 2075.
Earlier, two annual reports were presented during the NA meeting. The 5th Annual Report of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee for 2080/81 and the Annual Report of the Attorney General for 2079/80 were submitted.
On behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal tabled the Attorney General’s Annual Report for 2079/80. Additionally, Maya Prasad Sharma, a member of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, submitted the Committee’s 5th Annual Report for 2080/81.
The next National Assembly meeting is scheduled for September 15.
