The Election Commission has said candidates who have filed their nominations for the first phase of local level elections scheduled for May 14 can withdraw their names today if they have changed their mind.
The constitutional body has given four hours, from 1 pm to 5 pm today, for the withdrawal.
Then, the Commission will publish the final list of candidates and distribute election symbols to them on Friday.
Candidates wishing to hold positions in 283 rural municipalities and municipalities of 34 districts had filed the nominations on Tuesday.
