Nepal’s medical education reform activist Dr Govinda KC has written a letter to India’s social activist Anna Hazare, who has recently launched a hunger strike demanding implementation of a new anti-corruption law in India.
Dr KC has recently ended a fast-unto-death, his 16th in past few years. Likewise, Hazare has launched the strike in Maharastha last week.
In his letter, Dr KC has said that Hazare’s protest was a satyagraha; hence he would never lose it.
Mentioning that he was fighting against corruption in Nepal, he said Hazare’s fight against corruption was an inspiration to Nepalis.
“In general, I have learned that a satragraha would not end in loss. I believe in the power of people to make the government responsible and implement the rule of law,” the letter reads.
