Kathmandu, August 5
Finally, it’s a done deal between the Nepali Congress and the CPN-Maoist Centre when it comes to forming a government.
The NC and the Centre held talks on Thursday after the former demanded two more ministries. A high-level source said the two parties, during the talks held at Baneshwor, reached an understanding on power sharing.
According to the source, Congress will lead 13 ministries, whereas the Centre will have eight ministries.
The Maoists have gotten Finance, Information and Communications, Energy, Local Development, Education, Youth, Sports and Law ministries. The eight ministry going to the Maoist fold could be Women, Children and Social Welfare.
The Congress has 13 ministries, including Physical Infrastructure, Urban Development and Tourism, among others.
