
Kathmandu, August 18
Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister and Defence Minister Balen Shah on Tuesday.
Seth met Prime Minister Shah at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava also attended the meeting.
Seth arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday for a four-day visit at the formal invitation of Chief of the Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel.
On Monday, President Ram Chandra Paudel conferred the honorary rank of General of the Nepal Army on Seth.
Nepal and India have maintained a tradition since 1950 of conferring the honorary rank of General on each other’s army chiefs.
Seth also held bilateral talks with Chief of the Army Staff Sigdel on Monday.
