377,000 Covid vaccines brought for booster dose

Kathmandu, November 28

The government has brought 377,000 Covid vaccines to administer as booster doses.

The Ministry of Health and Population has brought vaccines to meet the needs of chronic patients and individuals travelling abroad.

Dr Surendra Chaurasiya, Chief of the Supplies Management Section at the Department of Health Services, has confirmed the acquisition of 377,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines through the COVAX initiative.

On November 24, 373,000 doses of anti-Covid vaccines were brought through COVAX initiative. This acquisition is part of COVAX’s commitment to provide a total of 750,000 doses of anti-Covid vaccines specifically designated for booster shots in Nepal.

The received vaccines will be distributed to health facilities at the province level.
