Concluding that the report recently submitted by the Constitution Delineation Commission is erroneous as it has not balanced the ratio of population and geography, the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal led by Upendra Yadav has demanded that the report be corrected.

Yadav has claimed that the report is discriminatory as only 47 per cent constituencies have been established in the Terai region though around 51 per cent population resides there.

Further, the report has divided areas with the majority of Madheshi population into different constituencies to prevent their representation, Yadav added.

The leader’s statement has claimed that the Commission prepared the report under the influence of ruling Nepali Congress.

The Commission on Wednesday submitted the report to the government, carving out 165 constituencies for the federal House of Representatives elections and 330 for the elections to Provincial Assembly.
