Kathmandu, May 17
The main opposition Nepali Congress disrupted the National Assembly meeting today, leading to an adjournment by Speaker Narayan Dahal within five minutes.
Congress MPs demanded a parliamentary inquiry into Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane over alleged fund misappropriation in a cooperative. The Congress has been alleging that Lamichhane is involved in misappropriating the cooperative’s funds.
The next session is scheduled for May 19 at 1:15 pm.
