Siraha, September 22
Seven leaders of the Nepali Congress in Siraha have been expelled from the party for one year.
The Central Discipline Committee decided to expel the seven leaders and activists from Siraha for one year on charges of failing to support the party’s official candidate in the House of Representatives election held on March 5.
The decision to take action against them was made at a meeting of the Central Discipline Committee held on September 16.
Those facing action are Subhash Kumar Das of Aurahi Rural Municipality-5, Mahadev Yadav of Aurahi Rural Municipality-3, regional member Shatrudhan Prasad Yadav of Sukhipur Municipality-6, district member Nilkumar Raut of Dhangadhimai Municipality-10, Golbazar Municipality chair Rajdev Sah (Lalbabu), Golbazar Municipality-9 chair Prem Sharan Yadav, and provincial convention representative Murali Rayamajhi of Bishnupur Rural Municipality-5.
The decision states that they have been expelled from the party for one year under Article 34(8)(d) of the Congress Constitution, 2017 (with the eleventh amendment).
