Chitwan: 10 arrested for defying lockdown order

Police in Chitwan district of southern Nepal on Tuesday morning arrested 10 persons from the streets of the district after they defied the authority’s order for not leaving their houses except for emergency purposes as the government decided to go on lockdown in its bid to control the coronavirus spread in the country.

They were arrested from Narayangadh and Tandi market areas, according to SP Nanti Raj Gurung, the chief of the Chitwan District Police Office.

He clarifies that if anyone has any urgent work, they can inform the police and make an errand.
