Kathmandu, September 29
A Council of Ministers meeting is being held today. The meeting has been called for 3pm.
The meeting is expected to discuss the rehabilitation of flood victims, recommendations for staff promotions, the Federal Civil Service bill, among other issues.
Sources say the government is preparing to promote joint secretaries from the administration and technical streams to secretary.
The promotion committee has already recommended administration-stream joint secretaries Aabha Shrestha Karna, Chakra Bahadur Budha and Jay Narayan Acharya for promotion.
Likewise, from the technical stream, Dr Jagdishwor Karmacharya, Nabin Raj Singh and Meena Shrestha have also been recommended for promotion to secretary.
The government is preparing to promote one senior joint secretary each from the administration and technical streams to secretary.
