Kathmandu, October 30
One person died when another sustained injuries when a bus hit them in Kamalbinayak of Bhaktapur district on Tuesday night. Police claim the bus driver was under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred.
The deceased has been identified as Bikas Tamang, a permanent resident of Dandapari region of Kavre district. Likewise, Bishal Tamang from Gundu of Bhaktapur was injured.
The bus heading towards Byasi from Kamalbinayak had hit them last night. Before hitting them, the bus had also hit a parked motorbike.
Bikas was seriously injured in the accident and rushed to the nearby Madhyapur Thimi Hospital. He breathed his last on the course of treatment there. On the other hand, Bishal’s condition is normal and he is admitted to the same hospital.
Police have arrested the bus driver, Balaram Jyakho, 40, from Kamalbinayak. Further investigation is underway.
