Kathmandu, August 28
Private airline Buddha Air will transport relief supplies free of charge.
The airline said the free service has been arranged in line with a decision by the Ministry of Home Affairs to facilitate the collection and air transportation of relief materials.
The company also said it would maintain its regular airfares until road transportation becomes more accessible.
“Despite whatever commercial challenges may arise in the current difficult circumstances, we are committed to providing convenient and affordable fares,” the company said. “If you receive information about tickets being sold at excessively high prices anywhere, we request you to inform us. We will take necessary and strict action against such activities in accordance with the law.”
