Kathmandu, September 18

Buddha Air has added a new flight to Varanasi, India, starting this Wednesday.

Previously, flights operated only on Mondays and Fridays, but now there will be three weekly flights. The company stated that this addition will offer greater convenience to passengers.

Buddha Air’s sister company, Buddha Holidays, is also offering holiday packages to various destinations around Varanasi, including Sarnath and Ayodhya.

The airline believes the increased flights will provide better support for passengers travelling to Gaya for the annual Shraddha ritual. The flight from Kathmandu to Varanasi takes 50 minutes. The one-way fare from Kathmandu to Varanasi starts at Rs 11,360.

Flights depart from Kathmandu at 7:15 am and from Varanasi at 8:30 am. Buddha Air operates the route using an ATR 72 aircraft.
