In a thrilling match, Biratnagar Kings secured their third consecutive victory in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), defeating defending champions Janakpur Bolts.
Biratnagar defeated Janakpur Bolts by 9 runs. This is the second consecutive loss for defending champions Janakpur.
Chasing a target of 136 runs set by Biratnagar, Janakpur Bolts managed to score only 126 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the full 20 overs.
For Janakpur, left-hander Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton scored 42 runs but could not lead the team to victory.
For Biratnagar, captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 4 wickets, conceding only 11 runs in his four overs. Similarly, Surya Tamang took 3 wickets, giving away 20 runs in his 4 overs.
