Biratnagar, January 21
An auditor has been founded dead in Biratnagar of Morang district on Tuesday morning.
Preliminary police investigations have found that Prabal Ghimire, the owner of Prabal and Associates Audit Firm, had left a local market area for home on Monday evening. After the 50-year-old did not arrive at home till the late evening, the family residing in Tinpaini, Biratnagar-2, informed the police.
While the police were yet to launch a search, the locals told them this morning that they spotted a body in the local Singhiya stream. They also recovered his purse and his motorbike key there.
Deepak Chapagain, a relative of the deceased, says the incident seems mysterious as Ghimire’s mobile phone was switched off from the evening.
DSP Lok Darshan Thapa, the spokesperson at the Morang District Police Office, says the body has been taken to Koshi Hospital for postmortem. Further investigation is underway.
