A 17-month-old child died in a vehicle hit in Lokanthali, Madhyapur Thimi municipality-1 of the Bhaktapur district, on Friday.
While playing, Salin Shrestha, the son of Bhaktapur local Keshav Lal Shrestha, had gone under the vehicle (Ba 5 Kha 7817) that was parked in front of his house to unload water.
The driver was unaware of the child being under his vehicle and he started the vehicle after finishing unloading, ultimately injuring him.
Seriously injured in the accident, the kid was taken to the Summit Hospital, where he died during treatment, according to police.
Police have arrested the driver, Akash Bhujel (23), a resident of Melamchi municipality-3 of the Sindhupalchok district, for further investigation and action.
