Senior leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal says the government’s decision to ban activities of the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led party was an immature act.

Nepal complains that the government did not hold sufficient discussions before taking the decision. He says even the party was also not informed in advance.

Speaking with journalists at the Parliament building in Naya Baneshwor this afternoon, Nepal said such style of decision making was inappropriate for the party.

“This is not a right culture. Before taking major actions, the party meeting should be called, the party should discuss about the issue,” he said.

He warned that the party members would not be responsible to defend such actions when uninformed.
