Bangladeshi President tours in Pokhara

Pokhara, November 14

President of Bangladesh, Mohammad Abdul Hamid, has arrived in Pokhara on Thursday afternoon. President Hamid, who arrived on a four-day official visit to Nepal on Tuesday, went to Pokhara on a Nepal Army helicopter. Accompanied by his wife, he has taken a boat ride in Phewa Lake and will be visiting other destinations as well.

He has come to Nepal upon the invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Gandaki Governor Amik Sherchan, acting Chief Minister Kiran Gurung, ministers, Provincial Assembly opposition leader Krishna Chandra Nepali, lawmaker Khagaraj Adhikari and Pokhara Mayor Man Bahadur GC welcomed President Hamid and his entourage.

Panchakanyas offered Bangladeshi President Hamid bouquets whereas a tune of Panchebaja (traditional Nepali musical ensemble) was played on the occasion. President Hamid will be staying at Fish Tail Lodge.
