Bandh enforcers vandalise vehicles in Biratnagar

Cadres of the Rastriya Janata Party have vandalised four vehicles in Biratnagar of Morang district on Tuesday on the charge of disobeying the bandh called by the party.

DSP Yogendra Singh Thapa said a Tata Sumo van (Ba 3 Kha 8374), two three-wheelers (Ko 2 Ha 5368 and Ko 1 Ha 1983) and an electric auto-rickshaw (Ko 1 Ta 42/8) were vandalised.

Though impact of the bandh was nominal in the city in the morning, it is gradually increasing, according to police.

The RJPN has called for a three-day general strike in Terai districts opposing the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.
