Dhangadhi, July 13
A 61-year-old man has been arrested on the charge of raping a five-year-old girl in his neighbourhood, in the Jaya Prithvi municipality-7 of the Bajhang district in Sudurpaschim.
The arrestee is Jagadesh Joshi, a local, informs DSP Rupak Khadka, the chief of the District Police Office. Khadka says Joshi was arrested based on a complaint filed by the alleged survivor’s family.
In the complaint, the family had claimed Joshi enticed the minor to go into his room when there was no one at her house and committed the crime on July 2.
Police are further looking into the case.
