Baitadi, August 5
Two persons died after being caught up in an electric trap set up for wild boars in Baitadi of the Sudurpaschim province on Wednesday night.
The victims have been identified as Santosh Chand (21) and Amrit Chand (18), two siblings from Swali, Surnaya rural municipality-5 of the district.
Police Inspector Bodh Raj Ojha of the District Police Office says the duo received electric shocks from the trap at around 10:45 pm yesterday. The trap was set at a maize field.
The District Police Office has commissioned a team under the command of Police Inspector Rajesh Shahi of the Patan Area Police Office to look into the case.
