1. Srijana College of Fine Arts

Based in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Srijana College of Fine Arts is one of the oldest art schools in Nepal. It was established in 2001 and affiliated with Tribhuvan University.  Along with the academic course from +2 level to the bachelor’s, the institution also runs hobby art classes for all age groups. 

2. Sushila Arts Academy

Sushila Arts Academy is located in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. The academy provides classes in different areas of arts such as design, drawing, clay moulding and others. Additionally, the academy provides classes in music, dance and theatre. 

3. Young Picasso

Young Picasso is a community arts training centre, located in Lagankhel, Lalitpur.  It has been running winter/summer camps, hobby art classes, regular art classes and Saturday’s special painting classes.  Similarly, the centre is also conducting various volunteer classes in remote areas of Nepal to promote the importance of art. 

4. Lama Thanka Painting School

Lama Thanka Painting School is located in Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Bhaktapur. It dedicatedly runs thangka art classes. The school provides courses designed for anyone interested in learning and understanding the iconography, methods, materials and techniques involved in the creation of thangka painting.

5. Artudio

Artudio is a Swayambhu-based art centre primarily focused on visual art education. It runs visual art workshops and learning platforms titled Art Saturday, Photography Workshops, Workshop for Educators, Little Araniko and more with a motive to shape future generations and promising young artists.  

6. Drawing Room

Based in Khichapokhari, Kathmandu, Drawing Room is an artist-run learning space for enthusiastic learners.  Likewise, during school vacations and public holidays, the art institution also offers special art classes to school students of different ages.  

7. The Precious Art Class

The Precious Art Class is based in Chushika-Hakkha, Lalitpur. The art academy provides classes on different forms of art such as lining and shading, geometrical objects, acrylic and many others. The courses run for eight to12 months, but as per necessity, one can even extend it.
