Kathmandu, October 14
One person has been arrested in Dolpa with illegal medicinal herbs.
Acting on specific information that herbs had been illegally collected and hidden in the Laini forest of Kaike Rural Municipality-1, police arrested the person with 1,225 kg of spikenard.
The District Police Office, Humla, said the arrested person is Arjun Budhathoki, 24, of Khani, Kaike-1.
The police team said it recovered a total of 1,225 kg of jatamansi packed in 49 sacks.
Police said Budhathoki has been sent to the Division Forest Office, Dolpa, for further investigation and action in accordance with the law.
