The Armed Police Force (APF) Border Outpost (BOP) in Timure, Rasuwa, remains safe after a sudden flood swept through the Bhote Koshi River this morning, but a police team deployed on duty in the area is out of contact.

APF Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa said a sudden and massive flood in the Bhote Koshi River is believed to have caused extensive damage in the Timure area.

“The BOP in Timure is safe, but we have been unable to contact the team deployed on duty,” he said.

Thapa said efforts are underway to contact police teams stationed in the affected areas and assess the situation.
