Ang Rita Sherpa, popularly known as The Snow Leopard, a world-famous mountain climber from Nepal, has died.
The 72-year-old legendary mountaineer breathed his last at his Kathmandu residence at around 10 am today, informs Ang Chhiring Sherpa, a former president of Nepal Mountaineering Association.
Ang Rita Sherpa was suffering from various ailments related to brain and liver.
He had climbed Mount Everest, the tallest peak of the world, 10 times without supplemental oxygen, between 1983 and 1996.
