Kathmandu, February 19
The Ministry of Health and Population says all 175 Nepalis who were evacuated from Wuhan of China tested negative for coronavirus infection.
After several complaints that the government did not take any initiative to protect its citizens from the virus-hit Chinese city, the government had airlifted them to Kathmandu last weekend. Currently, they have been quarantined at Nepal Electricity Authority’s training centre in Kharipati of Bhaktapur for 14 days.
The ministry says they will undergo the second round of the test on the 14th day of quarantine.
