Accused of bribery, Dolakha CDO summoned to Kathmandu for probe

Kathmandu, December 6

The chief district officer of Dolakha, Khagendra Prasad Rijal, has been summoned to Kathmandu for an investigation into the allegation that he received a bribe from three persons accused of ‘indecent behaviours’.

Rijal received Rs 90,000 from Kumar Lama Moktan and Rs 21,000 from Udim Tamang and Indra Kumari Tamang of the district recently, according to a complaint. The complainant has claimed Rijal agreed to withdraw cases against Moktan and Tamang duo after bribery.

The Ministry of Home Affairs spokesperson Kedar Nath Sharma says the ministry is launching an investigation into the charge.
