Kathmandu, October 26
Police have taken 118 people into custody from the Kathmandu Valley alone in the past 24 hours.
The Kathmandu Valley Police Office said 99 were taken into custody in Kathmandu, 17 in Bhaktapur and 2 in Lalitpur.
The office said they are being investigated for various offences.
Likewise, police took action against 514 drivers in the Valley over the same period.
Among them, 64 were driving under the influence of alcohol, 2 had used drugs, 40 were speeding and 21 had violated red lights. The rest were found violating other traffic rules.
