Kathmandu, October 14
The Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene has written to government hospitals, health science academies and other federal agencies, asking them to enrol public servants working in these institutions in the health insurance programme.
The ministry has requested the concerned agencies to coordinate and facilitate the enrolment of employees in health insurance in accordance with the provisions of the Health Insurance Act and Regulations.
The letter urges departments, academies and hospitals to take the necessary steps to enrol public servants working under them in the programme.
The ministry has taken this initiative with the aim of bringing government employees under the health insurance coverage.
