Kathmandu, October 12
The Nepal LP Gas Industry Association has added more places to exchange gas cylinders.
The exchange scheme, started on Sunday at six sales centres for the convenience of consumers during Dashain, has been expanded to 11 locations from today, Monday.
The association has arranged this in coordination with Nepal Oil Corporation and the Gas Vendors’ Federation.
According to the association, the new distribution centres added from Monday are Chapali in Budhanilkantha (Bhanu Gas), Harisiddhi in Lalitpur (Nepal and HP Gas), Kalanki (Geeta Gas), RK Traders in Khasibazar (Sitashree Gas) and Satungal (Shrimaya Gas).
Exchanges have been underway since Sunday at Harisiddhi in Lalitpur (Shree ram), at Kalanki (Sai Baba and Shree Krishna) and at Sukedhara (Baba and Shree Gas). Arrangements have also been made for exchanges in front of the Balaju Industrial Area gate (Nepal, HP, Geeta, Rajdhani and Triveni Gas), at Pepsicola (Sagar Gas) and at Gas and Oxygen Traders in Sifalchaur (Everest and Sugam Gas).
The association has also shortened the exchange period by one day. The service will be available only until October 16, and consumers can go to the designated centres between 11 am and 4:30 pm every day to get gas.
The association had earlier announced service until October 17, starting at 9:30 am each day, but that schedule has now been revised. Consumers have also been informed that cylinders of different companies cannot be exchanged at any retail shops or other places apart from these 11 designated centres.
