Residents living in downstream river areas across six districts have been urged to remain alert following a massive flood in the Budhi Gandaki River.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) issued the alert on Sunday morning, urging residents in downstream areas of Gorkha, Dhading, Tanahun, Chitwan, Nawalparasi East and Nawalparasi West to exercise caution.
The authority also said the river level at the Aarughat monitoring station in Gorkha had risen well above the danger level.
