Kathmandu, October 11
The flood in Gorkha’s Budhigandaki River has washed away the motorable bridge connecting Soti and Manbu in Arughat Rural Municipality.
Local hotelier Gopal Lama said that the flood that came down from the Ungel Khola in Chumnubri Rural Municipality on Sunday morning also triggered a landslide in the Syar Khola.
Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma said the flood in the Budhigandaki River was caused by floodwater that had been blocked in the Syar Khola before surging down.
