The Lalitpur District Court has ordered the issuance of arrest warrants for All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and General Secretary Kiran Rai.
Court information officer Tikadhwaj Karki said a bench of District Judge Bhagawati Sharma Dhungana ordered the warrants against Nembang and Rai.
The same bench ordered the release on bail of ANFA Treasurer Ravindra Joshi and Accounts Officer Sanjiv Pandey, who were arrested on September 18 by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.
The court set bail at Rs 1.5 million for Joshi and Rs 1.2 million for Pandey.
Based on the CIB’s investigation report, the District Government Attorney’s Office in Lalitpur filed a case at the district court on Thursday, naming four people, including Nembang and Rai, as defendants.
