95,540 students to graduate from TU this year, preparations underway for convocations in all seven provinces

A total of 95,540 students are set to graduate from Tribhuvan University (TU) this year.

Presenting figures on the 64th grace list at the meeting marking TU’s 67th anniversary, Registrar Rabindra Adhikari said a total of 95,540 students who completed various levels between June 15, 2025 to July 16, 2026 are eligible for convocation.

Of the total, 15.10 percent are in technical programs and 84.90 percent in general programs. There are 253 in MPhil, 184 in PGD (postgraduate diploma) and 166 in PhD programs.

By faculty, the Faculty of Management produced the most graduates, with 43,142. The Faculty of Education has 19,533, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences 15,441, and the Faculty of Law 3,001.

In addition, 6,688 students from the Institute of Science and Technology, 5,160 from the Institute of Engineering, 1,920 from the Institute of Medicine, 463 from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, and 192 from the Institute of Forestry are eligible for convocation.

According to Registrar Adhikari, the plan is to hold the main convocation ceremony in Kathmandu in December.

He also said preparations are underway to hold convocation ceremonies in all seven provinces for the students’ convenience.
