Kathmandu, September 4
China will continue sharing emergency hydrological monitoring information with Nepal to support rescue and disaster relief efforts, the Ministry of Water Resources said.
The information will also include details on risks that could arise from river blockages and glacial lakes, according to the Chinese Embassy.
Chinese meteorological authorities have been providing Nepal with weather monitoring, forecasting, early warning and impact-based services following a massive landslide at the Kerung-Rasuwagadhi border crossing between China and Nepal.
Following the disaster, China’s meteorological administration immediately held a video consultation with Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology on weather-related matters.
