Kathmandu, September 2
The government has postponed this round of the taxpayer reward programme, citing the floods and landslides that struck Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts.
The winners of the reward programme for the first 15 days of Bhadra were due to be announced on Tuesday. According to the Inland Revenue Department, the postponed draw, along with the winner selection for the following fortnight, will now be held on Asoj 1. Winners of daily and bumper prizes will be selected from coupons based on purchase invoices issued throughout the month of Bhadra.
The government launched the programme under which one person receives a bumper prize of Rs 1 million every 15 days, while one person wins Rs 100,000 each day.
