Around eight tonnes of relief supplies have been sent to flood-affected areas of Rasuwa through eight trucks operated by the Nepali Army.
The trucks carrying the relief materials were dispatched to the affected areas on Wednesday night.
The supplies include 500 mosquito nets, 1,000 dignity kits for children, 220 sleeping bags, 500 blankets, 10 plastic sheets, 100 tarpaulins, 500 solar lamps, 500 solar lamp panels and a 30 KVA generator, among other items.
The relief materials were transported overnight with the aim of providing immediate assistance and humanitarian support to people affected by the flooding in the Bhotekoshi River.
The materials were arranged and transported under the direct supervision of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung as the floods continue to disrupt daily life in the affected areas.
The government has said it is stepping up rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-hit areas.
