Kathmandu, August 21
Leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have arrived at Ghanti Ghar in Banasthali to attend the party’s Central Committee meeting.
Party Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane and other leaders have reached the party’s central office, where the meeting is scheduled to begin shortly.
Other Central Committee members are also arriving at Ghanti Ghar.
According to General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, the meeting’s agenda includes discussions on party documents, organisational management and nominations, plans, programmes and campaigns.
Under party documents, the meeting will discuss approving the Candidate Selection Framework 2083 for the local elections and preparing a document on the right to recall.
Under organisational management and nominations, the agenda includes nominating Central Committee members, office-bearers, Secretariat members, and departmental heads, as well as members of the Central Candidate Selection Committee for the local elections.
Under plans, programmes and campaigns, the meeting will discuss conducting orientation and training programmes on the candidate selection framework at the local level under the leadership of the Central Committee and members of the House of Representatives. It will also discuss publishing Swatantra, a monthly digital magazine as the party’s official publication.
