Kathmandu, August 19
Prime Minister Balendra Shah has signed performance agreements with ministers outlining key tasks and targets to be achieved during the current fiscal year.
The agreements were signed and exchanged at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Wednesday.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the agreements cover performance targets related to good governance, social justice and prosperity.
The ministers have committed to completing key programmes and delivering the targeted outcomes during the current fiscal year.
Chief Secretary Gobinda Bahadur Karki also signed a performance agreement with Prime Minister Shah on Wednesday.
The government is expected to use the agreements to monitor the progress of ministries and hold ministers accountable for the commitments made for the fiscal year.
