Kathmandu, April 30
President Ramchandra Paudel has promulgated an ordinance related to cooperatives.
According to Ritesh Kumar Shakya, spokesperson for the Office of the President, the ordinance was issued based on the government’s recommendation.
The President’s Office stated that the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2083, has been promulgated in accordance with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution.
Ordinances related to the Constitutional Council, certain Nepal Acts, health science institutions, universities, and the removal of public officials were also submitted to the President.
The President is currently consulting constitutional experts regarding the other ordinances.
