Rudrabeni–Wamitaksar road closed until Falgun 15

Gulmi, February 9

The Ridi–Rudrabeni–Wamitaksar road section in Gulmi will remain closed from today until Falgun 15. Vehicular movement has been halted as road upgrading work begins at the Sisne Bhir area in Satyabati Rural Municipality along the road section.

The Road Division Office, Palpa, stated that road cutting is required to widen the highly sensitive and narrow stretch at Sisne Bhir under the national highway. As a result, the road will be partially obstructed from Magh 26 to Falgun 15.

During this period, vehicular movement will be completely halted daily from 6 am to 9 am, 10 am to 2 pm, and 3 pm to 7 pm.

According to the District Administration Office, Gulmi, traffic will be allowed from 9 am to 10 am, 2 pm to 3 pm, and from 7 pm until 6 am the following morning.

Alternative routes have been designated for vehicles. During morning and daytime hours, vehicles may use the Sota–Tallophant–Rupakot–Dokuwa–Salaghari–Chorkate road, while from evening until morning, the Majhuwa–Damka–Rupakot–Myalpokhari–Chorkate route can be used.

The District Administration Office has requested Musikot Municipality and Chandrakot Rural Municipality to provide necessary support, coordination, and facilitation. Authorities have also called on local governments, stakeholders, and the public to cooperate in ensuring the successful completion of the road upgrading work.
