Gold price drops sharply in Nepali market

Kathmandu, February 1

The price of gold in the Nepali market, which had been setting new records daily, has dropped sharply.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold fell by Rs 18,800 per tola on Sunday. The price of gold has been fixed at Rs 300,000 per tola today.

On Friday, gold was traded at Rs 318,800 per tola.

Earlier on Thursday, the price of gold had increased by Rs 20,500 per tola to reach Rs 339,300.

Similarly, the price of silver has also declined by Rs 1,565 per tola today. The federation said silver is being traded at Rs 5,500 per tola on Sunday.

On Friday, silver was priced at Rs 7,065 per tola.
