Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has suffered a bereavement. His father, Ram Narayan Shah, passed away a short while ago at Civil Hospital in New Baneshwor.
He was taken to the hospital on Sunday morning in an unconscious state.
According to hospital sources, his condition became critical on Sunday morning, and family members rushed him to the hospital while he was unconscious.
A doctor said he had been ill for a week. He had been suffering from diabetes and a urinary tract infection.
The doctor said the urinary infection had spread throughout his body.
“He had been unwell for a week. He had diabetes and a urinary infection. He arrived at the hospital unconscious,” the doctor told Onlinekhabar.
Prime Minister Sushila Karki also visited Shah on Monday morning. According to sources, the Prime Minister met Shah and other patients who were on ventilator support.
