Gorkha, October 31
A tourist injured by a falling rock in the Manaslu region has been waiting for rescue for two days.
Minuindra Lamsal, 44, from Tokha–6, Kathmandu, was hit on the head by a rock while returning from Samagaun-1 in Chumnubri Rural Municipality.
Due to adverse weather, helicopters have been unable to fly, making rescue operations difficult, said Rajkumar Shrestha, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office.
He has a serious head injury, and due to the weather conditions, a helicopter rescue is risky, so he cannot be carried down,” he said.
According to health worker Chiring Khamdo Lama, who is providing first aid, Lamsal is still waiting for rescue. He was injured when a rock fell from a cliff near Chumanubri 4 Buranjik, while returning from Samagaun on Thursday.
