Kathmandu, October 28
Actress, dancer, mountaineer, and TV show judge Kabita Nepali has released a documentary film based on her successful climbs of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse, both over 8,000 meters high, which she accomplished in the first week of May.
She scaled Lhotse within 24 hours of summiting Everest, showcasing remarkable courage and endurance. Since then, she has received widespread praise for her bravery and determination.
At the request of her fans, who encouraged her to turn her dual-summit experience into a film, Kabita has now released a documentary capturing her journey. The film features her experiences from Kathmandu to the Himalayan peaks and back. The climb was documented by adventure photo-videographer Bidhan Shrestha.
Kabita released the documentary on her YouTube channel. The one-hour film is presented in a conversational style.
Sharing the video, Kabita wrote, “This film is my journey to the two highest mountains in the world all within 24 hours. A story of endurance, reflection, and growth.”
She added, “In this video, I share what the climb taught me, the hardships I faced, the challenges I overcame and the lessons that changed my outlook on life.”
“I hope this journey inspires you to face your own challenges, the ones that push you forward, shape you, and make you stronger than before,” she said.
Professionally, Kabita is also awaiting the release of her upcoming film Eklo, which is set to hit theaters on January 1 (Poush 17). In addition, she serves as a judge on the TV show Himalaya Roadies.
