Kathmandu, August 21
Nepal and Israel have agreed to let each other’s citizens carrying diplomatic passports enter and stay in the other country without obtaining any visa for up to 90 days.
Nepal’s Ambassador to Israel, Anjan Shakya, and Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Gabi Ashkenazi signed an agreement at a function in Jerusalem recently.
The Nepali Embassy in Israel says Ambassador Shakya, speaking at the function, also stressed the need for extending the period of Nepali students’ stay in Israel under the ‘Learn and Earn’ project so that they could grow themselves as expert consultants.
Meanwhile, discussions are underway with the Israeli government regarding opening more doors of employment for Nepalis in Israeli, according to the embassy.
